Government College Ajmer has declared Pre BSTC Online Counselling schedule on its result official website Bstc2010.org for the admissions in different colleges of Rajasthan for the teachers Course. Last month, the Rajasthan BSTC results were announced on 23rd June, 2010 for the exam that conducted on 2nd May, 2010. Along with the results the university also announced cut off marks. The BSTC 2010 Online Counselling will set up from 23rd September, 2010 to 6th October, 2010. Only qualified candidates in the entrance test result are eligible for the BSTC 2010 online counseling. Government College Ajmer:

Government College Ajmer (GCA) has founded as an English school in 1836 by the Court of Directors of the East India Company at the building which currently known as the Blue Castle. Then in the year, GCA turned into an Intermediate College. Afterward, day to day increase in numbers and the starting of Intermediate classes needed the larger accommodation and the base stone of the present buildings was placed on 17th February, 1868 by General Keating, then Agent to the Governor-General in Rajputana.
During the year 1896, the Degree classes in Arts subjects were begun and in 1913, the Science subjects was begun. A year previous the school classes had been divided from the college and moved to another part of the town.
GCA is the only Government College from Rajasthan with postgraduate studies and research in Science subjects Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Commerce, English, Sanskrit, Hindi, History, Economics and Political Science.
Every year, the Pre BSTC examination was held by the Govt. College, Ajmer. Pre BSTC examination is a common entrance test for candidates who desire to look for admission in various government colleges in Ajmer. Government College Ajmer held BSTC/NTC 2010 Sanskrit entrance test on May 02, 2010. The BSTC 2010 result is available on the official website of BSTC.

Anna centenary library would be inaugurated by the Tamil nadu CM on September 15,2010 to coincide with the birth anniversary of former CM Annadurai at Kotturpuram Chennai .Mr.Karunanidhi has a penchant for constructing landmark buildings bridges flyovers and erecting unique statues during his regime.Inaguration of the Anna Centenary libraray would be another feather in his cap. ACL would be a world class library . It would be the second biggest library in Asia and the biggest in South Asia .The foundation stone for this massive library was laid in 2008.This is a 170 crore project.The library would be housed in 9 floors.The library would be situated in an 8 acre land at Kotturpuram.ACL would be an eco friendly green library providing natural lighting for better reading .The library would have more than 1.2 million books, e-journals and e-books on a wide range of assorted subjects in this nine storeyed library .Official sources claim a team comprising leading academicians have scouted the books included in this prestigious library of Asia .JNU,IIT's and IIM's have been requested to provide their online public access catalogs (OPAC) to enable procurement of the same titles to ACL.It is believed MGR medical university alone has provided over 33K titles.An expert committee has categorized books on each subject in to 3 levels namely Beginer's ,Middle level and Advanced level.In addition ACL is planning to sign MOU with leading world universities.The children's section is housed in ground floor.The kids section alone would comprise more than40 K titles besides journals and short films.This air conditioned building has a special carpeted floor for children with artificial tree,and walls adorned with cartoon characters and a lush green landscape to move around.Noted art director Thotta Tharani has set up the children's section. The wooden chairs, tables and book racks are all lilliputian to suit the children.There will be an audio visual system playing kids favorite characters on one side.The library will have a separate section in the ground floor for the vision impaired .This Braille system would contain 25 K titles and few talking books . Most importantly facilities are available in this section to convert any required book in to Braille ,in case the visually impaired person makes a request.The ground floor also houses a separate section for Senior citizens with easy chairs .The ground floor has a VVIP lounge,reference books dailies and magazine section.A separate floor has been earmarked for Tamil books .Efforts are made to collect rare Tamil manuscripts .The fourth floor is dedicated to Dravidian and other Indian languages.The fifth floor has a separate section dedicated to civil service aspirants.Government documents will be made available in the sixth floor.The seventh floor will contain oriental manuscripts and donor collections.Seventh floor will contain audio video displays.In addition to all these facilities the library will have two auditoriums to host Book release functions.The indoor auditorium will have a seating capacity of 1200 .The amphitheater on the terrace will have a seating capacity of 800. A food court is also planned in one of the floors.An escalator has also been put in place between all floors.A separate power substation 3200 KV has been installed in the premises.An Advanced Library management system in in place .This IT infra structure has been provided by Spanco Ltd.This is a most advanced Library management technology available globally. ACL is set to make reading a blissful experience to chennites.Thangam Thennarasu the state minister has worked tirelessly for this ambitious project. Kudos for this great achievement.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION
From the identified 31 institutes (22 Engineering and 9 Management), the top twenty rank holder students will be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Management Institutes
1. Top 20 students from 1st year batch based on entrance score.
2. Top 20 students from 2nd year batch based on performance score in the 1st year.
Engineering Institutes
* 1. 2 toppers from each batch from the following streams for all 4 years.
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Metallurgical Engineering
2. Top 12 students from each batch (any specialization or stream) for all 4 years.

For instance
1. Mr. Kumar could be one of the top 2 students from Civil Engineering and also be the one of the top 12 students for his batch. In this case, his name should appear only under the 1st category. For the 2nd category, another top student from his batch should be identified to meet the number of 12.
2. Mr. Kumar could be one of the top 2 students from mechanical engineering but not be one of the top 12 students for his batch. In this case, his name should appear once in the list (as a part of category 1)
3. Mr. Kumar could be 1 of the top 12 students in his batch but not belong to civil, electrical, mechanical or metallurgical streams. In this case, his name should appear once in the list ( as a part of category 2)
Dates: Last date for sending nomination based on eligibility criteria August 25th 2010
Special conditions:
* In case two students from a particular batch hold the same rank, both will be eligible for stage 2: the online test.
* If an eligible student is already getting another scholarship/financial aid, she/he would still be eligible to apply for OPJEMS

STAGE 1(a) and 1(b): ONLINE TEST
All the students who are nominated based on the eligibility criteria will be required to undertake an online test where
Section 1(a): will be a behavioral test with 60-70 multiple choice questions that aim to assess leadership behaviors
Section 1(b): will be an application blank containing approx 6 open ended questions aiming to seek data on personality factors Scores on section 1(a) will be used to “shortlist” or “reject” students for the interview stage. Section 1(b) will be used as “probe” for the interview process. There will be no elimination basis the responses given in section 1(b). For students’ short listed based on section 1(a), section 1(b) will be printed and shared with the OPJEMS interviewers.
The online test will be held at respective campuses by our invigilators. In order to ensure smooth implementation, the students will be given an option to take this test in paper-pencil format ( in case the institute/student faces server or other IT issues that hamper the effective functioning of the online platform)
Date for the test:
September 12th, 2010
Duration: Section 1: 30 minutes
Section 1(a): 30 – 40 minutes
Section 1(b): 30 minutes
The top 2 students (based on stage 1(a)) of each academic year of each institution would be short listed for the next stage.
Special conditions:
* In case a student is unable to take the test, due to medical / any other exigency, she/he would not be eligible to move to the next stage.
* Online technical support would be provided during the course of the online test.
STAGE 2: PERSONAL INTERVIEW
The students short listed from Stage 1(a) would undergo an interview with a panel of interviewers. The interview will focus on the personality factors and some probes from the online test section 1(a).
Interviews would be conducted through web/video conferencing. The interviews will be taken via web conferencing (or telephonically, where web conferencing is unavailable).
The final selection for OPJEMS scholars will be done by giving 50:50 weightage to interview +application blank (i.e. performance on the personality factors) and the online test section 1(a)( i.e. performance on the leadership behaviors)

September 24th 2010 to September 30th 2010
Date for announcement of results
To be announced by the end of October 4th 2010
Special conditions:
The time/date allotted for interview would be final. Any request for a change would not be entertained.

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master’s degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination.

GATE qualification is also a minimum requirement to apply for various fellowships awarded by many Government organizations.
