Ushoshi Sengupta, Miss India Universe 2010, was among the 83 contestants of the last night’s Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant held in Las Vegas.

The title was bagged by the very gorgeous, stylish, intelligent and sexy Mexican lass, Jimena Navarrete. Indian beauty queen Ushoshi Sengupta could not raise any spirit of the judges, people across the world (even before the show) and the audience out there. She was not among the favorites of the common people nor was among the beauty trade pundits and judges. Even her mention was hardly echoed there.

There were times when Indian beauties queens were widely regarded and every year when the beauty pageants i.e. Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Asia Pacific or any were held,

their mention used to be done and they used to be the hottest among all and ofcourse they would many a time even consecutively take the crown home. After Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta, Diana Hayden, Priyanka Chopra, Diya Mirza and Yukta Mukhey – no one dared to bring the title back home. What has happened to India? Has the country lost the talent? No, not at all there is something else that is lacking somewhere.

Thus as usual, as it has been happening with Indian beauty queens that they return home empty handed, Ushoshi Sengupta too will now make the journey back home empty handedly.
