If we truly want educated children, we should give them opportunities to have every theory presented to them and then they can make up their minds which one makes the most sense.”

Angle doe not know what scientific theory means! I don’t mean that as a “gotcha,” so much as jaw dropping. Isn’t that sort of amazing for someone so close to a seat in the Senate. Maybe, we need equal time for The Flat Earth Society to teach their theory in school? By the way, has someone yet asked Angle if she is a member of that group? And, if she does mean every theory of the world, how about the view that existence is a product of Richard Abowitz’s imagination? I want that theory taught, too. It has as much evidence as creationism. And, a theory is a theory, says Angle.

Not to belabor the obvious: Evolution is a theory the way gravity is a theory is the proper comparison. You may choose to believe in creationism but in scientific terms this is not a theory like evolution. Would even an “informed” creationist argue that? This is not at all an isolated example. Angle has a belief system that she confuses with facts which she mixes with basic ignorance (see above) about even the United States Constitution–among the most important documents for a Senator to have her facts clear on.
